A Perfect Assimilation Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

A Perfect Assimilation

Looking down the entire length of this huge bar, lights of
every color and sound reverberating their way into the crowd
of people dancing around.

Perfectly in time and rhythm, flowing with the music as they
continue circling the dance floor, others dancing more sub-
dued, afraid of breaking aging bones.

Not wanting to break anything because it will interfere with
their dance routines, and they can't have that, it has to end
on a good note, a perfect assimilation of people's feelings.
