A Poet's Address To A Lady Poem by John A. Hancock

A Poet's Address To A Lady

Thine eyes dance the moon light's glow
Smouldering embers with just a hint of flame
Would but a word upon thy beauty enkindle in thee
A passionate love yet unclaimed
Or if thy heart hath been duly earned
If the sacred bond between to souls complete
Then I bow in honor of thy happiness
Ever richer perhaps just having the chance to meet
