A Poet's Vision Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

A Poet's Vision

Stepping into the limelight one day, not particularly
wanting to, but it will happen anyway if that is what
is meant to happen.

Walking into deserts, forests, mountains, just to get
away from crowds, politicians who are corrupt and want-
ing to take away our freedom and God-given rights.

As long as this poet is alive and writing that is never
going to happen, bet on it, if you like, watching and
detailing every lie and illusion that comes about.

Using this poet's vision, writing it all into poems
constantly and instantaneously throughout the years,
whiling away moments in depths of desert's beauty.

This poet is safely encased in a scene of peaceful
serenity, no one to bother or interrupt at all, this
mind and intellect will be engrained in poetry.

A poetical and creative process where only this mind
can continue to contemplate the wonder and curiosity
of such a lovely world God has created and allowed us
all to enjoy and live in today.
