A Poetic Truth Poem by Amar Agarwala

A Poetic Truth

Rating: 5.0

I veil my pains in poetry
Cover them with verses sublime,
Bury my thoughts in sweet rhythm
Urging them to waltz with their rhyme.

I regale thoughts through poetry
They are laced with a twist or two,
For life's pathways are similar
Deceiving with their rendezvous.

I find comfort through poetry
Feel inspired to do much more,
It says, wisdom lies in sharing
Be it thoughts or treasures galore.

Poetry is sweet lullaby
Which the heavens' sing for their kin,
Urging mortals to know the truth
That divinity lies within.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A LITTLE STORY

'So you sell perfume? ' Someone asked me.

'How do you know...? ' I quizzed back.

He smiled, 'That's easy, I believe you're a poet! '

When you write poetic verses... the cosmos replies with sweet melody even more beautiful! For poetry echoes from the soul of this universe - no wonder it is sweet, comforting, blissful and so divine.
