A Precious Gift - Poem by Gail Grierson

My cellphone rings
We talk awhile
And share a joke or two;
It's not just laughter
That you bring
That makes me glad it's you.

You sing to me
And make me smile
On this I must agree;
But there is more
In what I feel
And what you mean to me.

The joy you bring
Is a wondrous thing,
I treasure knowing you;
The time I spend
With you, my friend,
Is a precious gift from you.
