A Priceless Treasure (To My Wife) Poem by john (called jack) wren

A Priceless Treasure (To My Wife)

You have stolen my heart
and my thoughts have no place to hide
your beauty fills this empty cup
that never leaves my side
beauty is sweet that comes from the heart
with its gentle touch and warm embrace
its haunts my dreams, my every thought
a priceless treasure of perfect grace
will you be my boat and sail
and save me from this life of strife?
will you be my rock and shield
and be the love of my life?
let me grace your side
in sickness and in sorrow
oh how I hunger for your love
be my shadow, be my tomorrow.
