Yellow Pimpernel. Poem by john (called jack) wren

Yellow Pimpernel.

Rating: 5.0

Creeping merrily twix affable leaf
in search of her morning aperitif
this vision with the brightest of eye
smiles as she teases the Sun in the sky.

Waltzing in style from light to shade
in a dress of yellow her mother made
she flows through the refreshing air
touching her toes, kissing her hair.

Drifting here, drifting there
her countenance is everywhere
sweet yellow dresses, home spun
gently tease the hidden Sun

Her presence soon outshines the Sun
who hesitates, to join the fun
and hides in a cloud clothed in gloom
waiting for its time to bloom.

I ever heard of the Red Pimpernel, but the yellow? A very thought-provoking poem, which flower is this?
