A Promise To My Fiancé On Our Engagement
I cannot promise you only flowers
cause thorns are inescapable
I cannot promise you only light
cause dark is inevitable
I cannot promise you only joys
cause sorrows are inexorable
I cannot promise you only rain
cause drought can be unavoidable
But I can promise you one thing
I'll always be there for you
I'll be there to pick the thorns
So, flowers will be there for you
I'll be there to illuminate the dark
So, there will be light for you
I will suffer the sorrows for us
So, there will be joys for you
I'll be there through rain and drought
I'll be there through hard and soft
I'll be there through dark and light
I'll be there through woes and delight
Life is not a bed of flowers
But I can promise you one thing
I'll always be there for you.
