A Reckless Killings Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Reckless Killings

Rating: 4.8

When will terrorists stop gunning people?
When will they roam freely and been able?
To resume day to day work with peace
Why do we feel insecure and miss?

Lot many questions in mind for an easy answer
No one comes forward with solutions for fewer
Who do you think will benefit out of this?
Do they really mean to be loyal to death kiss?

Can they not force their will by other means and avoid?
How will this unruly scene go for indefinite period?
Can they be brought under control by use of force?
We have no information or lead to any other source

Blood was spilled all over on ground
Bodies were scattered and in mutilation condition found
Fresh waves of violence are gaining round
Hatred, distrust reign with system seems to be sound

Who are these people doing all inhuman acts?
Why not all come to sense and react?
Is it the only way left out to combat terrorism?
Are we not to be blamed for all kinds of “ism”?

Every time senseless killings takes place
Still no system or alternatives is there to replace
Mutual distrust and hatred prevails
Love and kindness no where in sight and always fails

We need to have passion and feeling for brotherhood
Calm should prevail in vicinity and also in neighborhood
Why do we add fuel to fire and wood?
When there is shortage of everything and have no food?

Somebody may loose son, husband or father
We can’t allow it to go any further
What is happening somewhere else should not make us bother?
Let us build new relation where love should only matter

Why humanity should suffer on this count?
When all sorts of tension and worries mount?
Let us place ourselves to the mercy and will of Almighty
Who will guide us to destiny and feel some pity

They have no religion as such
They have shed enough and much
Now time has come to counter
No more demands accede to or cater

It may be long way before we route them out
Scores of people might have lost and feared about
No bright sun may appear in their tenure
What can they think of bright or near future?

We aren’t here to create havoc and things to destroy
Never resort to unruly scene and make others annoy
It is humanity that goes on run in an orderly convoy
Let us build and search new ways to adopt and employ
