A Rest My Dear - Poem by Michael P. McParland
A bit more rest dear to try
and beat this sickness I feel.
As I'm lieing here listening
to my new audiobook I'll be
thinking of you and wishing
you were here to hold and
listen to it with me.
I love sharing things with my lady
and while you are away I
miss doing that so very much.
Return soon so we can together
share all that we love and admire.
I'm sending you all my love and warmth
sweet lady I wish to be with all my days.
Come hold me close and tight
while I lay down filling me with all
your peace and strength,
your love is all I want and the
greatest thing there is to me.
Wrap me in your kind and loving arms
to fill me with the warmth my Angel holds.
I love you darling and will
continue always to give you my very best,
you are my everything and I adore you
my treasured Queen to no end.
You're the greatest ever my sweet lady and only one.
