Happy Friendship Day my Charming Poetesses
To my seven dear friends of Poem Hunter
Sylvia, Rose, Bharati, Indira, Susan, Sandra & Varsha!
I just wanted to express my feelings,
On this friendship day,
With a small and a simple poem!
All of you have been a source of inspiration,
With your lovely poems, poetic expressions,
And through your comments and messages!
I have never met any of you,
But you all have been, a part of my daily thoughts,
Much more than any persons that I have met!
Dear Sylvia, you are like a fragrant jasmine flower
Adored by women and dancers of India!
Dear Rose, you are like a beautiful rose
Attractive, ever a symbol of beauty and dignity!
Dear Bharati, you are like a golden sunflower,
Always bright and illuminating!
Dear Indira, you are like a lotus flower,
Aglow with knowledge and wisdom of the scriptures!
Dear Susan, you are like the majestic carnation flower,
Adorned by the royal women of the palaces and kingdoms!
Dear Sandra, you are like the spectacular tulip flower
Affirm, strong, spreading your warmth far and wide!
Dear Varsha, you are like a pretty spring flower,
Affectionate, buoyant, sharing the joys of love and life!
