A Rose Poem by Cristian Dolon

A Rose

Today I found a rose...
Also many set in a row.

Then it started raining...
And I was left waiting.

Everyone around were moving so fast...
As I was left there alone in my own past.

Finally the city became deserted...
But the thought in my mind wasn't diverted.

I started to think so many things...
All the songs that you would sing.

Especially the very day we met...
As I kept wondering I took out a cigarette.

I remember how your hair played with the breeze...
Just thinking about it all makes my heart freeze.

I thought I was a man with a lot of luck...
When the deepest parts of my heart you struck.

When you finally get here...
I will tell you sweet things in your ear.

Or maybe just give you the little rose...
Either one or the other I suppose.

I just pick out this little rose as I wait...
Here under the rain for you on our first date.

I want to see your smile and hear your voice...
Every moment with you my heart sings in rejoice.

Or maybe we can just stand there...
Looking at each other and go nowhere.

How about we go skipping, running or walking...
Or maybe hugging, kissing, loving or talking?

The whole world will know...
Of our love as it will show.

Should I tell you how my love for you grows and grows...
Or just keep it all inside and give you the rose?

I can't wait for when we finally get together...
Until then I'll let my love select what is better.
