I love the proteins you express
The way they shape your every dress.
I love how my fingers pass within
Your chocolate brown keratin.

I love the pull of your collagen
How at twenty they keep you ten.
I love the push of your mitochondria
Your loving energy keeps me in awe.

I love your dose of melanin
That gives your eyes shades of green,
I love that sometimes they are blue
My love, I love everything about you.
