A Second Chance Poem by Manager Poet

A Second Chance

Rating: 5.0

Children who make mistakes ask adults for another chance.
When an adult makes the same request, what’s your stance?
Adults know that children goof up and have much to learn.
When an adult goofs up, no mercy equates to burn baby burn.

Compassion given at the right time we learned from above.
Accountability and forgiveness comes from showing love.
Continually making the same mistake is a flawed way of life.
However, repentance should allow second chances to be rife.

A second chance withheld harms the spirit of one in need.
Pride or other emotions blind us, so please take heed.
One more line and the managerpoet is certainly through.
What did receiving a second chance do for you?
