A Sick Man Poem by Tony Adah

A Sick Man

They said death took him away
Mired in dreams where singers and dancers
Brandished palm fronds
Some drove him away from a crypt
Too far only he could see.
Death in vain corrupt a dream
They dance twice but only once
He will say goodbye.
