"A single man I am! "
So, I answered, "thank you ma'am",
When the Lady asked me if I was single
With me she then began to mingle.
She said, "no man should be all alone"
With a woman he should share his throne,
A woman should be at his side
Then they two would happily coincide.
I told her being single was not my choice
As I raised my voice,
And it's not because I couldn't find anyone
As I reminisced and spoke on.
The reasoning I told her why it was this
Soulfully I had searched for a woman for my total bliss,
But, every time that I found that special person
I then knew it was only going to worsen.
She had lied and had cheated and/ or from me had stole
As she tried to take away from me my very soul,
Every woman that I had ever met
They ended up bringing me sorrow and pain and regret.
They all took advantage of me
Which seemingly gave them joy and glee,
And in the end
It was always about only them.
I have given up the search
In the Bible I read this one inspired Bible verse,
"Spoke by the Apostle Paul, ma'am"
'it is good for man to remain single, as I am',
