A Slice Of Sky Poem by Namita Rani Panda

A Slice Of Sky

I need a slice of sky
Maybe darkest and blind
Without moon and stars
It doesn't matter
I can decorate it with my own stars,
Where I can fly freely without fear!

I need a slice of sky
Maybe pale and cloudy
Where I can paint my rainbow
With my choicest hues
And under which I can swing and sway
Like a luxuriant dappled green tree
Where my dreams will drift like dark clouds
And rain hopes all around!

I need a slice of sky
Maybe with bright sunshine
Or a calm night where a full moon smoothly glides
With a puff of cool fresh air to breathe in,
And a little space to live in!

I badly need a slice of sky.
