A Slim Slice Pizza: An Opportunist Offering Poem by Terence George Craddock

A Slim Slice Pizza: An Opportunist Offering

my daughter heated up a slim slice pizza
usually she adds a little something extra
like small pieces of salami usually she hungrily
greedily eats it all but today a strange windfall
half the pizza still hot with glorious melted garlic
butter was in kitchen left on a wooden bread board
despite having eaten I happily ate a few offered
slices in deep tasty mouth watering appreciation
