The World,
Asks for your love
Craves for your friendship
Wants your understanding
Seeks your help
But,
Mocks your tears,
Laughs at your anguish,
Wants none of your troubles,
Cares not for your heartaches
The World,
Smiles at your smile
Laughs at your jokes;
And says,
Your pain and sorrows
Are yours alone to bear.
So you learn to
Wear a smile on your face
And hide the pain in your heart.
