A Solution Poem by Edwina Reizer

A Solution

I've placed the phone in its cradle.
I've unplugged it from the wall.
Now I won't have to hear it ring
or wonder if you'll call.

The silence of ringing is contentment
for this mind that's always busy.
And I'm tired of this constant waiting
that puts my heart in mis-ry.
