A Song For Liza - Poem by Ghi Palmares

Today l'll write a tune for you,
Make it sweet and mellow too.
Arrange the words l need to say,
Let them tell how you change my day.

Today l'll play the melodies on line.
Select the words to make them rhyme.
Draw the notes, the bars on the staff,
Let them remind how you make me laugh.

Today l'll sing this song for you.
Make it sound happy and new.
Accompany it with a rhythm or a beat,
Let it reflect the much awaited treat.

Today l hope you'll play it loud.
Understand the theme, what it's all about.
Play it again on a day of the year,
Let it greet you, 'Happy Birthday! ' my dear.

For my good friend Liza's 20th birthday
