A Soul Of A Demon Poem by Palitha Ranatunge

A Soul Of A Demon

During the darkness of the night
While my eyes soaked with half dreams
You crawl into my brain like an ugly spider
And holds my breath like a
Huge stone crusher
Laying on my feeble body
All my limbs were in pain
The graudal enhancing pain
Drilling into my abdomen,
The haunting evil of thy entity
Grapples my body
Shivering it with a cold fear
of mankind, the fear of unknown
The fear for after life,

When I woke up suffering from
Only the overwhelming
Fear from toe to head
Looking at me knowingly that
Invisible soul of you
Piercing at me, until
I close my eyes again,
How intollerable to imagine that
I am to be defeated by the beleif
Of dead haunting around
During the pitch dark night
In anticipation of
Mocking at me and sucking my blood.
