I wake up from a night time sleep
Lie still and as my mind awakes
The first thing I remember is
There is so much now at stake.

For autumn is in my world now
But it won't last for very long
I have to plan ahead, oh yes
As I hear sweet holiday songs.

Though I love this time of year
The list of events has been made
For Halloween is coming fast
Events can never be delayed.

Then family time is soon there after
For Thanksgiving makes is mark
In the air wafts spicy smells
Everyone somehow plays a part.

The weather changes drastically
Winter with all of its glory
Christmas day is on its way
It has a unique sort of story.

Get ready now, the time has come
It is a time we all hold dear
Holidays are coming fast
It is a special time of year!
