A Spring Walk, That But Waits The Aisle Poem by james watkin

A Spring Walk, That But Waits The Aisle

Whilst hears from whom, alongside
Gently, as does befit
One, to all such fair works, responds
With sensitivity
And with face, delight-suppressing
Notes are taken, close leaning:
'He's nice. He's for me'.

Those, in the heart, tucked away
Quietly secretive.
Made for future reference. When
Of marriageable age.
Once retrieved, will, and not too soon
One stain glass lit afternoon
That girl's doubts assuage.
