A Star Lit Night Poem by Marilyn Lott

A Star Lit Night

Rating: 3.3

The air was fresh and crisp
This springtime star lit night
Blue-black and luminous
The stars were quite a sight.

It simply took my breath away
The world could do no wrong
It didn't seem quite real
But it certainly did belong.

I feel so very lucky, you know?
To see a star lit sky
I know I'm part of the universe
It makes me want to try.

To try to make things better
In my insignificant way
I want to do my very best
Each and every day!
