A Stone Heart Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

A Stone Heart

You have got head, tongue and skin.
You have got stalk, chair and purse.
You have yet been rejected
By the girl proposed to you,
She being not equal though,
For you lacked human value.
The soil with all minerals
Sans water is not fertile.
Who wants a heartless brute, ho?
Who rejects is superior
To one who is rejected.
