A Storm Poem by Phil Soar

A Storm

I watched from on the beach,
as waves crashed awkwardly to ground
From heights I'd never seen before,
The storm raged all around
Feeling safe in my position
Amazed at what I saw
A storm so epic in its size
It knocked me to the floor
And rushing back to safety
I ran back to the dune
In the hope it would relinquish
And my day could then resume
