A Stream Of Music Flows Poem by Mohammad Younus

A stream of music flows,
From the depths of an unknown ocean.
I pause,
Compose myself, and listen,
Simply listening to the music and breathing,
Breaths of equal length and breadth.
Just listening to the wonder,
Realizing I am nothing
But this wondrous music.

I play no instruments, yet
In each breath, I hear
The celestial melodies.
Every breath I draw
From this musical atmosphere
Brings awareness and enlightenment,
And I exhale knowledge and wisdom.

The wonder of life I inhale,
The wonder within I exhale.
That's all I do—
Breathe in and out the music,
And listen with joy!
As my day begins on these notes,
These sublime notes make me aware
Of the One divine manifestation
Resonating as exquisite music everywhere.
