A Stubborn Stand Poem by Cody Marks

A Stubborn Stand

Does stubbornness really help you
Will it let you take a stand
You call it bold and firm
While others find it shallow

What will it get you
If you refuse a hand
Can you grow from it
Is it an act of courage

Do you think its good
Does it make you feel
Obedient and holy
Do you feel deprived

What is your mission now
Where will you go
Do you plan to walk
Will you run by standing

Do you know if your moves
Subtly hurt other's hearts
Or is it not a thought
Because you took a stand
