Skies Poem by Cody Marks

Skies

Blue gray and other hues
What bring you of heavenly news
The coming of spring rains
The snows of winter strains

What shall you bring me in autumn
Falling colorful leaves in a massive sum
The dancing rays of summer sun
That shall send my heart on the run

Shall you cry with me in these days
shall you celebrate with as one who earnestly prays
Shall I find love in your majestic eyes
Or bear witness to your sullen cries

In the night you bring me signs and wonders
Stars that gleam planets and sailing meteors
Is this your final mystery left for me
The many worlds I may one day see
