A Swollen Soul Poem by Abdul Wahab

A Swollen Soul

Rating: 5.0

A swollen soul is too big to go inside a jar
So i am away from the narrow world
And the world is no close to me like before
But i mean not that this world is like a gourd
Nor I compared jugs with this loving earth
A jar is an another soul that shrank too much
Seeing my water of love just coming to enter
A blocked river rises too high to contain by a dyke
So areas are flooded with much sought glitter
But i mean not that this dyke is an obstruction
Nor I said that the areas were in severe drought
Here the dazzling stuff is her mesmerizing attraction
Since i met her I make truce and bravely I fight
The spell she cast upon me with her stunning beauty
But i mean not i am here a soldier fights like devil
Nor I equated her with any leprechaun or mermaid witch
The struggle here is my attempt to break into that wall
She created and my soul swelled as I got those bruise.
