A Synopsis Of The Epic Of Gilgamesh Poem by Gert Strydom

A Synopsis Of The Epic Of Gilgamesh

A synopsis of the epic of Gilgamesh

'It came to pass, when man began to multiply on the face of the earth
and daughters were born unto them that the sons of God saw the daughters of man that they were fair;
and they took them wives of all which they those and the Lord said, my spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh, yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also, after that, when the sons of God came into the daughters of men, and they bear children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. '
Genesis 6: 1-4.

1

If viewed that there were gods on earth:
extremely advanced and mighty entities,
that only had themselves as real enemies:
astronauts that had on Nibiru their birth:

a planet that in a great elliptical orbit swerve
around the sun between Jupiter and Mars and the identities
are in cuniform and hieroglyphs as well as their activities:
the Sumerian hero Gilgamesh, thought that he eternal life deserves,

being a demigod: wit
h his mother Ninsun, the goddess:
the tablets discovered in Nineveh contain a deluge tale,
that is similar to in the Bible Noah's / in Utnapishtim's flood.
Gilgamesh was of Erech / Uruk in 2900BC king and adventurous:
did bare handed against two lions and entities prevail,
he was a third human and three thirds a god.

2
Gilgamesh was benevolent from the beginning
of his reign but the death of mankind bothered him:
to be able to live forever he wanted to ascertain
while the prospects for humans seemed grim,

to his godfather Um / Shamash he appealed:
'in my city man dies; oppressed is my heart, '
and his emotions was not concealed,
where from a human he was somewhat apart.

Shamash responded: 'in creation
the gods, death for mankind allotted:
make a feast of each day and night, ' he said in acclamation,
where Gilgamesh in this joyful sex spotted

to youth to retain where the god meant
enjoy life while you can: not death by this to prevent.
F tje3
In Uruk Gilgamesh at night roamed the streets
in search of just married couples to have first sex,
wherever he did another's bride meet
and the outcry of the people did the gods perplex:

Ninmah with the essence of several of the gods created at length,
a savage man called Enkidu as an equal:
as Enki's creature with wisdom and great strength
to wrestle with him as to other mortals he was unequal

and after a terrible wrestling match they did
each other befriend and Gilgamesh expressed
to have eternal life while it seems the gods does this forbid
but in his roaming Enkidu found a solution this to address:

in the Cedar Mountain the gods have a landing place
but there Enlil created a robotic guardian the mortals to erase.

4
Both the goddess Nimsun and Gilgamesh prayed
to his godfather Shamash for both help and protection
to at the Cedar Mountain to help in any way
where both Enkidu and Gilgamesh approached with circumspection

as the monster Haiwala, a mechanical contraption,
that used fire and a laser ray with which mortals to destroy,
of a roaming robot it seemed a kind of adaption
where to Lebanon they travelled: in a trap did strategy deploy:

fearsome the monster did both spot
with whirling winds in help Shamash did Haiwala blind,
but blinded in its sensors it could not forward or backward trot,
while with their weapons they sneaked in from behind:
to the ground Enkidu down did it struck
and both destroyed it from strategy rather than luck.

5
Gilgamesh discovered a tunnel hidden by trees
but weary after the battle the two stopped at a stream,
as he washed Gilgamesh's body was by water agleam
and Ishtar naked and inviting Gilgamesh sees,

direct as at a flower the humming bees,
Ishtar did him address in approval, liking and esteem:
did him immediately to be her lover deem
but to her invitation Gilgamesh not agrees,

whereas cross-roads she used the landing place,
he listed all of her know lovers she used and discarded
at his words pain, shock and anger was on her face.
his words were truthfully and unguarded

but enraged with her sky ship Ishtar took to the sky:
begged the god Anu to punish Gilgamesh who did her defy.

6
The goddess Innana / Ishtar fell with him
both in love and in lust and did offer intimate relations
but knowing her by reputation: for Ishtar the prospects were dim
being hurt at heart and not in aberration,

she caused the Bull of Heaven to be unleashed:
God.Anna that at the Cedar Mountain was protected
by the Huiwala mechanical contraption,
with Ishtar in her hands having its leash,
where she now viewed Gilgamesh in abomination,
where both mighty men: demigods ran for their lives
while Shamash aided them to quickly to Uruk to return,
to outside the city together both survives
at attacking that ferocious beast each got a turn,

at the city in help warriors came to aid the king
but into pits that it's snorting opened it did them fling.

7
As the bull turned Gilgamesh behind the rampants got protection,
Enkidu took a chance and leapt on its back,
while Enkidu shouted for Gilgamesh to with his sword to attack
at the base of the horns and neck tendon connection.

This call in the bull-fighting arenas still echoes today
and by the tail Enkidu spun that bull around,
while Gilgamesh leapt in to help it slay
and there was blood and corpses on the ground

while in Uruk Gilgamesh ordered celebrations,
Ishtar set up a wailing and with the gods in council
Anu wanted both to die while against both Ishtar acted in accusation
but Enlil and Shamash found it unacceptable

as Anu wanted both Gilgamesh and Enkidu to die
did to their aid reasoning and excepting part of the blame apply

8
Enkidu felt ill and into a coma went,
as the gods commuted his sentence
to hard-labour in the mines and emissaries sent
which clothed, like birds had wings but they did not have repentance.

Gilgamesh instead to the mines sailed near the Arabian coast,
where the wrath of Enlil came as the sails did tear and it capsized
and with swimming to shore Enkidu and Gilgamesh was engrossed
and after reaching the beach by Enkidu dying Gilgamesh was agonized:
aimlessly in the wilderness Gilgamesh wandered
but later guided by the setting sun Gilgamesh trekked,
did prayers to Sin change as he Enkudu's death pondered where he believed Sin did this region affect

but as he neared a mountain-past
a pride of lions leapt at him and he was aghast.

9
With his weapons he fought off the lions as best he can,
where he smote and at them did hack away:
against many hungry lions was the only man,
with bare hands had against the last two lions to array.

Only in the skin of one of the lions clad,
Gilgamesh did the mountain-pass did traverse
he saw a vast lake and a walled city made him glad,
although to a foreigner the people could be averse,

as outside the city near the sea he did an inn approach,
Suduri, the ale woman held a jug of ale
and a bowl of yellow porridge but in fear felt him to reproach:
thought she would not against a wild man prevail,
bolted the door and it was with great difficulty
that Gilgamesh convinced her of his identity.

10
Gilgamesh told her about all his experiences,
fed and clothed he inquired about the way
where he had to distinguish between facts and variances:
that only brave Shamash did that Sea once sail she did say

when to the Land of the Living
if around or over the Sea he can go,
where it's still called the Dead Sea we know,
of a boatman Urshanabi she was also information giving.

Sumerian records about nuclear blasts has not misgiving:
about a Spaceport at a hill, to Sodom and Gomorrah did bestow
a radio-active wind did deadly over all Sumer blow
destruction of a god and his followers the gods wanted to be achieving

but Lot's wife did not turn to salt but was vaporised,
as to two gods to strike targets against Marduk it was authorised.

11
Urshanabi did wonder about Gilgamesh's identity
and believed him as he his experiences told
but for the crossing they needed 120 shaped poles to be ready
with which the drifting barge was to be controlled

and after the crossing Gilgamesh followed the road
up to two columns and there had to Itka to turn,
where from Ullu-Yahnash he needed permission to be bestowed,
from that god, as at Mount Mashu rockets of the leaving sky-ships burn

to a shorter road to Utnapishtim to take,
where he begged Shamash to intercede
and for him this possible to make,
and after deliberation the gods gave permission to proceed,

but at the mountain the rocket-men guarded the entrance,
had a spotlight as a weapon with which they controlled admittance.

12
In the sweep of the deadly spotlight
Gilgamesh shielded his eyes,
as he closer came to halt they did advice,
forward he paced during the night,

with an approaching space-ship the sky was alight,
more intense the rocket men their weapon applies,
that it does him not harm and he is not human they realise
and for them he is totally out of fright.

He asks with Utnapismthim his forefather to meet,
do his experiences to them repeat.

13
They let him into the inaccessible path
which was an extremely dark subterranean way,
where it took twelve hours to reach the bright day:
he was happy to see the sun in its arc,

in the enclosure of the gods he did closer embark:
where an artificial garden carved from stones was on display,
different fruit trees and the Tree of life did in on his mind play:
it was like an exceptional well cared for park.

Utnapishtim studied Gilgamesh for a time
and wondered about him, about how he did come,
but Gilgemesh related his kingship, ancestry and in his prime
Utnapishtim befriended with him did become

where his account of the deluge Utnapishtim did tell:
how one of the gods wanted all men to death to expel.

14
In the Biblical version the same deity
wanted to wipe man off the face of the earth,
but on Noah, a righteous man and his family had pity
and he was of perfect genealogy served God from birth

but according to Utnapishtim and the Sumerian version
more than one deity was involved with Enlil and Enki as protagonists
with Enlil having aversion
to intermarriage with the daughters of man as an antagonist
when with the coming of Nibiru closer to earth,
the accumulated ice on top of Antarctica did melt,
where the death coming man did not derserve
as it came near the meteorite belt,

Nibiru's gravity created the ice in the sea to slip,
created an ice age with each god
to outer space on each available trip,
forced by stricter Enlil in not warning or helping acting odd

but Enki who was involved in creating man
to build an unsinkable boat had a plan.

15
In Sherpa Utnapishtim did bring the seed
of animals and plants abroad his huge ship,
and enough food his family and a navigator to feed,
as for survival they took that eventful trip,

where Enki of the gods as chief scientist
could select, obtain and provide the seed of all living things,
to save humans in vain he did to Enlil insist,
which us to Utnapishtim and his ship brings:
designed to have under water three quarters of it,
to resist the surge as the elements tossed it around,
where tightly and sealed everything did fit
with the sign the gods taking off from the ground,
with construction, outfitting and loading as Enki directed
to exact specifications the boat then was perfected.

16
Airborne while in spacecraft earth orbiting
the Annunaki witnessed the deluge overwhelm
all the lands as it did total destruction bring,
while to two peaks a navigator was at the ships helm,

but in her spacecraft Ishtar cried out as if in travail,
Ninmah was crying about the destruction of mankind,
where along with Enki she did create while the flood did life curtail
and a kind of salvation Enki had in mind,
while to the peaks of Ararat that did first appeared
the ship and spacecraft of the gods did head,
while the tidal wave did cease the ship Ararat neared,
the birds scouted dried land that was ahead

and an altar was built with the smell of roasting meat
and the gods were happy this offering to eat.

17
Utnapishtim also told about a secret plant like a prickly berry bush,
it had as a brier's vine thorns and although it does prick,
rejuvenation it gives and into a huge pipe under water Gilgemesh did decent,
did deeper himself with rocks underwater push,
while to get it, no person did him prevent
and finally, he had in his hands that thorny stick

and after greeting with Urshanabi excited
again, the Dead Sea they did together cross
but bathing in a well much later Gilgamesh was delighted
as a snake silently took it and to Gilgemesh it was a loss

and Gilgamesh cried being denied,
the snake shredded scales as the stick to it it's magic applied.

[Poet's notes:
Erech / Uruk was in modern-day Iraq.

There exist many ancient depictions of rocket-ships from Nibiru and sky ships. Even around some mosques today the rocket-ships are seen.

The Bull of Heaven could also be translated as the Bull of Anu seeded from Nibiru.

Shamash is the god that was the commander of the eagle men / the commander of the pilots.

ANU denotes to 'the heavenly one / the one who rules in Nibiru.'

EN. LIL denotes to 'Lord of the command.'

EN.KI denotes to: Lord of Earth where before this it was EA denoting to 'he whose abode / home is in water.'

EN.KI's spouse was NIN.KI denoting 'spouse who to earth came' and she bore him a son MARDUK.

MARDUK denotes to 'son of the pure mound.'

NIN. MAH denotes to 'great lady, ' who is the half-sister of both Enlil and Enki.

The Annunaki denoting to 'those who from heaven to earth came.'

Ishtar denotes to 'Lady of the battle field.'

SIN denotes to 'as the moon.'

SIN is the father of Shamash

SHAMASH denotes to 'as the sun.'

The Land of the Living was a city where the gods lived that included Shamash and also Utnapishtim / the Bible's Noah who was an ancestor of Gilgamesh.

The translation of what befallen Lot's wife could either be to turn to salt or to be vaporised.

The seed was the Akkadian word 'zera, ' standing for: that from which living things sprout.]

Toe sê die HERE: My Gees sal
In dié dae was daar

2
Gilgamesh was as koning goedgunstig vanaf die begin

"in my stad sterf die mens; en verdruk is my hart"

‘n wilde mens geskep genaamd Enkidu as ‘n gelyke:

Terwyl Gilgamesh in Uruk feesvieringe beveel,

teen heelwat honger leeus was hy die enigste man

Dit was soos ‘n uiters goed versorgde park.

by die skip se roer betrokke was

Erech / Uruk was in hedendaagse Irak.
