A Thinking Poetess Is Amazing Poem by Doris Cornago

A Thinking Poetess Is Amazing

Rating: 5.0

What would I be when not a woman
A sorry excuse for a human
Who can't be burdened
With thinking
Or bearing
Loads
On
So light
A frame, how bigger
Should a brain be to rationalize
Anger, or pettiness - such weaknesses
Who is immune to frivolities of emotions

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A thinking poetess - I really don't know what that means. Where do poems come from anyway? My brain has two sides as well as a man's. Is there a difference according to gender identity? Ah, I delight in repartee but not obfuscation.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

This poem is in response to a comment on a another poem as being from a thinking poetess. I took offense on the implication but the man clarified by saying it was meant to be a simple admiration. Words can both be a gift and a dagger. Be sure you make notes to clarify so the blooming friendship is not nipped in the bud. :)
