A Time And Place Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

A Time And Place

Do you remember a time and place?
I did not have a face
My erstwhile lover
Under cover
You felt my nakedness
Not negativeness

Do you remember a time and place?
The bliss
Of my kiss
You knew in blindness
I knew your kindness
Knowledge is power
Yours wilted the flower

Do you remember a time and place?
I was perfection
Per action
Our souls met
A perfect match
Now your doubt
Is loud
It's too late
You have had a taste
Of the forbidden
You can't be forgiven

Do remember a time and place?
We willingly both
Took a blood oath.
It is done
Can't be undone

Now you know my face
Steps you can't retrace
To a time and place
A time and place
