A Time In Times Poem by Zotena Moses

A Time In Times

A time to be young
A time to be old
A time when your
Strength shall fail
When anger & quarry
Shall no more interest you
A time in times when you shall seek
For the young to guide you
in the affairs of life.
Then your eye's shall fail you,
Your morning hope shall be
upon the young
And if they refuse your weak hand
from the early morning bed
you shall lay on till night.

A time when the girl shall
mother her mother
the boy shall father his father
In that day
The giant shall become dwarfs
the strong shall become weak
The immortals shall become full
blooded mortals
You shall become astrologer's
Prophets, historians and peace
maker's
The little ones shall look
and say mama; why is thou
stomach big?
In thought, you shall give them
the history as a prophet in peace.

A time in times when you
shall love the Lord thy God
with all your heart, body and soul
you shall open the early morning mass and end it
The company of men shall be noise
unto you but the word of God you
shall be friend as oil in a bottle

Tell me, people;
do you not truly fear death of unfulfillment now?
Truly you shall fear no death of
any kind in time of times
Death shall have free exist and exit
in your chamber
A time when the strange dealings of
Death shall be peace unto thy soul.

My pleasure is not the plans
Not the cars
Not the savings
Not the mansions
Not the pretty Ladies by my side
But the men made by me
For in that day,
they shall arise for you
They shall be your town crier

Make men, love men
Men shall make you
love and bless you

In time of times.
