A Time Machine Poem by Bryce Edward Coast

A Time Machine

Take me back through the years
Back when my angel was alive
When my heart's pieces were intact
Travel until we arrive

With the memories unmade
Let's make them all over again
With Earth the same way as it was
A slightly better status then

Return the loved ones who are held
Only inside the picture frame
The happiness, the luster gone
Every loss, let me reclaim

Rewind and modify the words
That I should have never said
Past regrets, repair them all
Evade the tragedies ahead

That pretty smile I dreamed about
Back in my arms, she reappears
A void that could not be replaced
That caused these many countless tears

On from there, resume the story
Flip the script, rewrite each page
Let our lives be lived together
As we planned it age to age
