A Time When Big Was Beautiful Life Renewal Poem by Terence George Craddock

A Time When Big Was Beautiful Life Renewal

was human society always so concerned with thin
once getting enough food being fat might have been sexy
figures survive from the paleolithic era 40,000 35,000

years old of women with ample hips voluminous breasts
uncovered pudenda is this honouring life renewal pregnancy
we cannot ask but women may have attained power in fertility

were these maternal symbols of creativity birth fertility
nurturing the cycle of growth the renewal of sacred life?

life was sacred sacred women may have been recognized
for their procreation powers of new creation and survival

with pendulous breasts on a plump stomach abundant hips
well-endowed rotund healthy an emphasis is on fertility

healthy fertile women were a good luck portent for society
fertility figures are abundance as a symbol of life renewal
pregnancy nourishment nurturing is life cultural survival

The thin ones are going out of fashion. The fuller figures coming back. Did you know scientist say the fat in a mommies behind contributes to baby intelligence. So ladies there you are if you want clever tots let that behind grow. Nigeria Botswana and South African ladies top the list of endowed chocolate women.
