You see her there on the street
Hidden slightly by the shadows of a passing day
An ordinary girl you think
But can you see the things she tries to hide
Or all of the times at night she's cried
Do you know her deepest thoughts
Or how her heart is breaking
Can you see her subtle pleas
And longing to be free from her hidden misery
Do you see through her concealing smiles
Or will you pass her by
Passing her off as an ordinary girl
She's there on the street
