A View Of Deja Vu Poem by Bill Galvin

A View Of Deja Vu

My eyes are feasting on the red rock hills…
A picturesque panoramic patio view,
From outside a healthy Sedona juice bar,
When I encounter that mysterious déjà vu.
That feeling that I've been here before,
The mood is pleasant; the scene beautiful;
The desert morning air is refreshing;
The day has power, strength; kind of spiritual, too.

When younger, it used to always unnerve me;
And no one's been able to explain what it is;
Theories abound; French for "already seen";
Don't know if I sense it more than anyone else,
But when it shows these days, I welcome it,
As a clear road sign that I'm doing pretty good,
Doing the right thing… in the right place…
Life and the Universe unfolding as it should.
