A Waltz Wave: Gathering Wildflowers (Rewrite) Poem by Lillian Susan Thomas

A Waltz Wave: Gathering Wildflowers (Rewrite)

Rating: 3.1

A
mason
jar
is crammed
with ev'ry
fragrance
and
hue of
summer I
gather in my
blue apron
out-stretched
as
the sky
over the
sun-drenched
fields
I walk
through.

I think I've commented on this one on another site...It still leaves me with the pleasurable feeling of having shared this walk and smelled these smells. Very well written. I like the sense of ambling your words produced so well.

Living in a big city this makes me ache with longing for those 'sun drenched fields'. A lovely and gentle pastoral scene with the accompanying bliss portrayed so well.

Seems like an informal style of poetry, but nice to read and ponder on... Regards Naseer
