A Women's Cause Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Women's Cause

Rating: 5.0

I am not champion for women’s cause
But I stand for their rights of course
They are not powerless or simple curse
A faithful partner, feelings to nurture and nurse

They need to be heard in full
They are not mere slave or fool
They are to be respected and heard
They are to be loved and not to be feared

They need not be silenced
At home too, they are not to be distanced
They got to be there at all the junctures
It may lay very good foundation for the future

Women’s kindness must be acknowledged
She has to be free al the times and not caged
She too has to be bettered and not shouted
All rules are same and not to be flouted

She is precious treasure in our possession
We should have no other ideas or obsession
We should towards her with kindness and compassion
No treachery and desertion with frank and open admission

Love and company is not to be taken as granted
She should not be treated as ordinary and unwanted
They are important wheels of chariots
Without them it will turn turtle and run into riots

I hold them in high esteem
They got to be in main stream
The plant should stem out from the root
We may then be able to advance the foot

If the women are given their long due
They may plan the life and rescue
It is their long struggle which is paying
They may rule the scene and will be staying
