A World, For A Gift Poem by james watkin

A World, For A Gift

Although twas given, without
The giver's hand to spot
The joy in the giving
Held back, it was not!

Evoked daily, through each of
A dawn-fogged reminder
In heavenly choruses
Tree-raised, a-twitter.

And through each light-bright newness
Of a day Love does weave
In pleasured instinct's heard
Pled: 'wake to receive'!
