A World Wide Pandemic Poem by Marilyn Lott

I have always said everything has a poem
But, my friend, I have never ever dreamed
That we would be in a world crisis
Of this proportion - impossible it seems.

But we are here, there's no doubt about it
Staying at home, no work or ordinary play
To keep from simply staying alive
So much more than any of us can say.

Folks dying alone around the world
Our loved ones we cannot even see
Celebrities and doctors and nurses
It's simply not possible it seems to me.

Amongst the horrifying daily journeys
There always is a huge amount of good
People show support in so many ways
Love and helping is truly understood.

But our world has to cling together
With a horror we cannot understand
Yes this WORLD WIDE PANDEMIC
Changes the US and all the foreign lands!
