Abbey Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Abbey

Komfo Anokye,
To the grand durber of the chiefs and the people of my hometown;
But, i am the 'Abusuapanyin' in this town to tell you a story.

Swearing the Great Oath is like the wary of the women,
But riding in palanquins will make it a difference!
And like Abbey my friend who is just in town.

Komfo Anokye,
Drumming and dancing galvanises one's culture;
But, do put forward the agenda of love to all mankind.

Like the Oath of allegiance,
Like the Oath on your love,
And like the Oath of of peace;
For the 'Omanhene' reflects on 'Komfo Anokye' at times.
