About A Boy Poem by Samantha Ashley

About A Boy

Rating: 4.0

He's beautiful, this blue-eyed gem.
Such a calm demeanor, the room silent in awe.
Bittersweet smile creeps across plush lips.
Brilliant, delicate mystery.
I drink him up.
He's untouchable, a perfect soul.
And me with all my faults, a broken, damaged swine.
He is not mine to want.
He is not mine to feel.
Burning eyes, they set me ablaze with such delight.
The heat draws closer as he comes near.
Trapped by the fire I remain still.
Bleeding, pulsating, open heart.
Our gaze is caught, lingering only for a moment.
Together in the sun, only for a moment.
He is mine, only for a moment.
Torn away by time we must part.
This darling boy, with him goes the remains of my security.
I am stripped.
He walks away.
My sweet, my darling, my gem.
My only love, he walks away.
