Letters To You Poem by Samantha Ashley

Letters To You

Rating: 5.0

These are my letters to you, so ancient and grey.
They remind me of such better days, days I took for granted.
Our world so different then, much of it still a mystery.
Everything a blur.

These my letters to you, written with such fidelity.
Words I wanted to say, so delicate, so dear.
So brilliantly impaired.
They are the ashes of our dead liaison.
I hold on to them cautiously, like snowflakes in my hand.

These are my letters to you, so ancient and grey.
All my words, they are tearing me apart.
All my letters, they are breaking my heart.
Wish I could burn them with such disdain.

These are my letters to you, so ancient and grey.
I'll lock them up or throw them all away.
My final goodbye, their pages soaked in pain.
I watched you so blindly, all in all too late.
I watched you running, fading into the night.

Alone again, falling away. With only my letters to you, so ancient and grey.
