About Life Poem by Ravinder Kumar Soni

About Life

Rating: 5.0

Then, he said -
‘I laboured much to escape from life.
Do not ask me to return; I cannot deal with it again.'
He and I, both formless, floating on a cloud, exchanged notes.
His escape seemed easy and swift,
He had given up too soon.
He could not face the vagaries of life the way I did.
I toyed with those whims,
Delayed choice and acted suspiciously
To keep life engaged and dangling on tenterhooks,
I did not allow it to retaliate and disturb the sequence I built.
I scared life out of its wits, I escaped from it
When I became tired and sick of life.
I did not disclose this secret to him.

Sir this is not good. You feared so never challenged yourself to face truth and see what the outcome would be. You gave up prematurely in fear. Not good. I feel.
