on this day
you have forgiven
yourself
and the other for

it had taken the two
of you to dance the tango
of love

forbidden, that night
dance
when the moon is hooded
by the shadows of
mountains

of love so sweet when
you tasted it from your
fingers
dipping to the slow motion
of cold honey


and then the truth begins
to speak
like some kind of a doomsday
prophet

a picture of you hangs
on the wall
a rope is tied on your
neck and you are
seated on a smooth chair

about to be hanged until
a firefly comes with a message
for your deliverance

such a forgiving silence
such a private foreboding
that when you do it again
it can spell an end.......
