Accentuate The Positive! Poem by Denis Martindale

Beyond today and all seen here, God grants us prophecy,
Just as He chose to make things clear for Christ and Calvary.
Yes, sad things happen! Now and then! Yet good things happen, too!
With miracles beyond our ken for people just like you.

When praise reports bring us good cheer, they grant us clarity,
Beyond possessions held most dear that make us so happy.
We learn of others God has healed and helped to guide them through,
And so we see God's love revealed each day, forever new.

Saint Paul reminds us to rejoice! No easy life was his!
And yet, by faith, he made the choice! There is no shame in this!
To lean on God makes perfect sense! He made the Universe!
And Jesus welcomes us as friends, to bless and not to curse.

God has great things in mind to come, in time, eternal bliss!
And so Saint Paul could not stay glum, though things could go amiss!
A prison cell! In chains as well! Yet hope could not stay bound,
Amazing grace was his to tell, once Jesus he had found!
