Accolades Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Accolades

Some live to seek for themselves,
Attention to get.
With personal accolades,
Given to them mentioned.
Instead of wishing to participate,
In the escalating of the quality of life.
Done to qualify a progress made.
That will provide benefits.
Left to advantage all in sight.
Making it felt to feel right,
About what is done just to do...
For others who too,
Should be applauded...
For this effort to keep endeavored.
Especially these days,
When what was once kept to value...
Has all but faded away,
Appreciation, respect and acceptance.
